After completing his elementary education in Yerpedu, he transferred to S.P.J.N.M. High School in Tirupati. Mohan Babu first expressed an interest in acting at the age of 14 and started participating in school plays.

His principal father constantly encouraged him to pursue a career in education. Mohan Babu moved to Chennai during this time, where he attended the YMCA College of Physical Education and earned a degree in physical education there.
