Ishaan Khatter was born to actors Rajesh Khattar and Neelima Azeem on November 1, 1995 in Mumbai. Because he came from a family of actors, he became interested in acting. He has been residing with his mother ever since his parents’ divorced in 2001.

Ishaan Khatter is descended from several famous actors. He consequently developed an interest in acting and ultimately decided to pursue it as a career. He made his acting debut in the 2005 movie “Vaah! Life Ho Toh Aisi!” directed by his brother. He continued his education abroad after receiving his diploma from Billabong High International School in Mumbai. Ishaan opted to enrol in Shiamak Davar’s dance school in order to advance his dancing.
Throughout his college years, Ishaan worked as an assistant on several movies, including the critically acclaimed “Udta Punjab.” He also made a brief appearance in “Udta Punjab.”
In 2017, Majid Majidi, a well-known director, cast him in his first main part in the movie Beyond the Clouds, which had its global debut at the BFI London Film Festival.
