She attended Sacred Heart School in Bahrain before attending the University of Sydney in Australia to obtain a degree in mass communication. When Jacqueline was just 14 years old, she began her television career. She participated in beauty pageants frequently. Jacqueline worked as a TV reporter in Sri Lanka for a while. She finally decided to enrol at Berlitz to study Arabic, French, and Spanish.

Jacqueline was born on August 11th, 1985 in Manama, Bahrain. She was raised in Colombo, Sri Lanka, where she was born. Her family and close acquaintances refer to her as Jacky. She decided at a young age to work in the film business. Early on, she had no desire to work in Bollywood. While on a modelling job in India in 2009, she made the decision to apply for a Bollywood role. She has no prior experience in Hindi. She learned Hindi from her apartment broker, who also helped her get ready for the audition. She was lucky enough to be given the lead role in that film, which also starred Riteish Deshmukh and Amitabh Bachchan.
Jacqueline’s parents are Malaysian-born Kim Fernandez and businessman Elroy Fernandez from Sri Lanka (Air Hostess). She is preceded in the sibling hierarchy by one older brother and two younger brothers. She describes herself as a Christian.
Jacqueline Fernandez Career
In 2006, she was named Miss Sri Lanka. That same year, she also had an appearance in a music video for Bathiya and Santhush’s song “O Sathi.” After that, she relocated to India to pursue a performing arts career. To polish her acting skills, Jacqueline attended the John School of Acting. She has had many lucrative modelling gigs in Sri Lanka and India. She also appeared on the covers of other magazines, such as Exhibit and Vogue.
Her major break came in 2009 when she was given the role of Jasmine in the box office flop Aladin. Later, she appeared as a leading actress in a number of financially successful films, including Priya in Murder 2 (2011), Bobby Kapoor in Housefull 2, Dr. Shaina Mehra in Kick, etc. She also made an appearance in the British movie “Definition of Fear” (2015). She was the 2013 IIFA Awards host, and she does a great job. She judged the ninth season of the popular dance competition programme Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa in 2016.
