Mahie Gill Biography
Mahie Gill Education
Mahie Gill finished her studies at St. Kabir Public School in Chandigarh. After finishing her formal schooling, Gill obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Psychology, English, and Sociology from the Government College for Girls in Chandigarh. She went on to finish her theatre master’s degree at Panjab University in Chandigarh.
Mahie Gill Early Life
Mahie Gill was raised by Jatt Sikhs in Punjab. Her father served as the Punjab Government’s deputy economic advisor, and her mother is a lecturer. Her father is not with us anymore. Her brothers are Navnit Gill and Shivinder Gill. Rimpy is the name she goes by. Mahie Gill got married at the young age of 18, but the union was short-lived. In the end, the couple got divorced.
Mahie revealed in July 2019 that she was residing in Goa with a Hindu Boy from Jammu. Her lover owns hotels and gambling establishments all over Goa. She continued by mentioning her daughter, who will turn three in August 2019.
Mahie Gill Career
Mahie applied for and was accepted into the OTA (Officers Training Academy), a three-month training programme for aspiring army officers, after receiving her diploma. However, she left the training because she was injured during a practice. She participated in a number of plays while pursuing her master’s degree at Panjab University.
In 2003, Mahie Gill made her acting debut in the Punjabi film “Hawayein.”
She made her Bollywood debut in Anurag Kashyap’s “Dev.D” in 2009. Along with compliments for her work in the movie, she also won the Filmfare Award. She received the name “Paro” after Anurag saw her dancing in a club. She won both critical and popular acclaim for her performance in “Dev.D,” and in “Saheb, Biwi Aur Gangster” in 2011, she repeated her success. In the same year, she also made an appearance in “Not A Love Story.” She joined the Bharatiya Janata Party in February 2022, just in time for the Punjab assembly elections of 2002.
