He enrolled in the third pre-graduate (upper secondary) class of Union Christian College in 1985 after graduating from Vidyadhiraja Vidya Bhavan High School in Aluva (1987). Eventually, he graduated from Maharaja’s College in Ernakulam, where he majored in history. During his stay at Maharaja College, he seriously considered impersonation or Impressionist acts. Dileep’s entry into the film industry was facilitated by De Maveli Kombathu, an audio tape based on the Onam celebration that he and his friend Nadirshah produced and sang (songs) in.

Padmanabhan Pillai and Sarojam gave birth to Dileep in the Keralan town of Edavanakad in the Ernakulam District of India. He is the first child of a three-parent family. He has a sister named Sabitha and a brother named Anoop. Dileep married the actress Manju Warrier on October 20, 1998. April 2000 saw the birth of their daughter.

Following the filing of divorce proceedings in July 2014, the couple’s divorce was finally finalized on January31, 2015. Dileep, an actor, married Kavya Madhavan, another actress, on November 25, 2016, at the Hotel Vedanta in Kochi. In October of this year, the couple gave birth to a daughter.

Dileep Career

He started out working at Kalabhavan as a mimicry performer. Then he made an appearance on “Comicola,” an Asianet comedy programme. Later, he worked as an assistant with Kamal’s team on the Malayalam movie “Ulladakkam” (1991).

In the 1992 Malayalam film “Ennodishtam Koodamo,” he made his acting debut. In addition to others, he translated from Malayalam, Tamil, Hindi, and Kannada. Additionally, he lent his voice to the comic book record De Maveli Kombathu, which was inspired by the Onam festival. Dileep produced the 2008 Malayalam film Twenty:20, which included a huge number of performers, under his own production firm, Grand Productions, in order to aid the Association of Malayalam Movie Artists.

He was honoured with his first Kerala State Best Actor Award in 2011 for his performance in the Malayalam movie “Vellaripravinte Changathi.” Some of the many songs he has performed include Theme Music from the 1999 movie Chandranudikkunna Dikkil, Onnaam Malakeri from the 2002 movie Kalyaanaraaman, Saare Saare from the 2003 movie Thilakkam, Kandaal Njaanoru from the 2012 movie Sound Thoma, and Ashakoshale Pennundo from the 2015 movie Sringaaravelan.
