Parvathy Thiruvothu Career
Parvathy made her acting debut in the 2006 Malayalam movie Out of Syllabus while still a college student. Because it dealt with adolescent pregnancy, her second book, Rosshan Andrews’ Notebook, was well-received by the media. She was one of the three lead actresses picked from among the 5,000 submissions, along with Roma Asrani and Mariya Roy.
She also took part in Sathyan Anthikkad’s comedy-drama Vinodayathra (2007) as a member of the ensemble cast alongside actors like Dileep, Mukesh, and Meera Jasmine. The Kannada film Milana, in which she made her acting debut as a leading lady, was a commercial success. They began shooting in April 2007 and added her as a last-minute replacement for Puneet Rajkumar. The movie received mixed reviews, although one critic singled out the actress for her work, praising how well-suited she was for the role and how she had the right attitude. Because of its commercial success, the movie screened at a Bangalore cinema for 500 nonstop days.
She costarred with Mohanlal and Indrajith in Sibi Malayil’s Flash as the film’s lead female, and she expressed hope that it would be her big break in Malayalam cinema prior to the movie’s release. Sadly, the film’s initial reception in both the reviews and the box office was negative. In the 2008 film Sasi’s Poo, which also starred Srikanth, Parvathy played Maari, a young rural Tamil girl who is the story’s main character.
South Indian actress Parvathy has received instruction in the Bharatnatyam dance style. Her Malayalam cinema credits include Take Off, Charlie, Koode, Bangalore Days, Ennu Ninte Moideen, and Notebook, to name just a few. Because of her depiction of Sameera in the highly regarded movie Take Off, Parvathy became the first Indian actor to get the Special Jury Award for Best Female Actor at the International Film Festival of India.
She received a Special Jury Mention, Best Actress honors at the National Film Awards, the Filmfare Award, and the Kerela State Film Award for Best Actress in Malayalam. She also made several appearances in Tamil and Kannada movies, such as Milana, Prithvi, Andar Bahar and Milana, Prithvi, Maryan. Her debut feature, the romantic comedy Qarib Qarib Singlle, costarred Irrfan Khan and made this new Bollywood star known to the world. She participated in an interview for the Unreported World program on Channel 4 on the Me Too movement in Hollywood. She most recently acted in the Malyalam movies Uyare and Virus, both of which were directed by Ashiqu Abu (directed by Manu Ashokan).
