Martin Prakkat Biography
Martin Prakkat Education
At the dramatics festival at his college, he repeatedly won Best Actor. Martin began taking pictures after earning his college degree and spent ten years working for Vanitha Publications, the sister publication of the magazine Manorama. He used photography as a stepping stone into the film business.
Martin Prakkat Early Life
Before starting to compose scripts with his college classmate Byju Chandran, he briefly worked as a photographer. Martin was first discovered by Mammootty, a Southern icon who starred in his first movie. He has directed three movies in a short span of time. Martin’s first movie to be directed, Best Actor, came out in 2010. Together with Bipin Chandran, Prakkat wrote the film’s script. Key roles were played by actors Mammootty and Sruthi Krishnan, who was making her acting debut. The movie depicts the journey of Mammootty’s character, a primary school teacher from Uttar Pradesh who wants to work in Hollywood. Martin had already given the movie the name Oru Cinemakkatha. The movie received positive reviews.
