She received her elementary through high school education at The J. B. Vachha High School for Parsi Girls in Mumbai. She received her pre-university education at the Sir Jamsetjee Jeejeebhoy School of Art in Mumbai. Her new husband brought her to the United States, where she finished her associate’s degree in media management and her bachelor’s degree in communication arts: radio & television. She was a news reader for the American Broadcasting Company.

Nadiya Moidu Early Life

Nadiya Moidu was born to Zareena Moidu on Monday, October 24, 1966 in Mumbai’s Sion district. She is of Malayali ancestry, and her father, N. K. Moidu, is a Muslim from the Keralan town of Thalassery. Lalitha was born in Kerala’s Pathanamthitta district, where her mother is a devoted Hindu. There is an older brother or sister. Nadiya Moidu married Shirish Godbole in 1989. Her husband was the FED’s top consultant when he was employed there. Their daughters are known by the names Sanam and Jana.

Nadiya Moidu Career

Nadiya Moidu made her acting debut in the 1984 Malayalam film “Nokkethadhoorathu Kannum Nattu,” which starred Mohanlal and Padmini, and soon gained popularity. She made her debut public appearance in 1985’s Tamil remake movie Poove Poochudava (originally titled Nokkethadhoorathu Kannum Nattu). She made her Telugu debut in the 1988 movie Bazaar Rowdy. She made a number of film appearances after moving to the US, but only as long as the production was finished before her vacation. She made appearances under the same conditions in the 1994 Tamil movies “Rajakumaran” and “Chinna Madam” (1994). She subsequently took a break from performing for almost ten years until making a comeback in the 2004 Tamil film “M. Kumaran Son of Mahalakshmi.”

Mostly in Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam films, Moidu has also starred in one Indian English-language movie titled “Wonder Women” (2020; available on SonyLIV).
Her most well-known works include the Tamil films “Nilave Malare” (1986) and “Anbulla Appa” (1987), the Telugu films “Attarintiki Daredi” (2013) and “Ghani” (2022), and the Malayalam film “Bheeshma Parvam” (1996).

Nadiya and Garggi Ananthan co-starred in the Malayalam short film “Oru Paathiraa Swapnam Pole” in 2022. She and Joju George co-starred in the five-episode anthology series “Putham Pudhu Kaalai Vidiyaadhaa” in 2022, which had its premiere on Amazon Prime Video on January 14. In 2010, Nadiya made her on-screen debut as the host of the game show “Jackpot” on the Indonesian channel Jaya TV. She acted as a judge on the Asianet programme “Comedy Stars Season 2” (2019) and the Mazhavil Manorama network’s Malayalam discussion show “Veruthe Alla Bharya” (2015).
