The film stars Kangana Ranaut as Jayalalitha, and Arvind Swami as MG Ramachandran (MGR), whom Jayalalithaa considered as her mentor. The cast also includes Prakash Raj as M Karunanidhi, Bhagyashree as Jayalalithaa’s mother, Sandhya, and Jisshu Sengupta as Sobhan Babu.
