Vaathi Review: While many performers from various film industries aim to increase their market share by taking on pan-Indian projects, actor Dhanush makes films in a variety of languages without focusing on any one of them. After this movie, he will collaborate with filmmaker Sekhar Kammula as well as Telugu director Venky Atluri for the first time.
His film, which is being directed by Venky Atluri, is named “Sir” in Telugu and “Vaathi” in Tamil. The trailer for this movie has already generated positive discussion. Story
Balamurugan (Tamil), a junior lecturer for third grade at the Thirupati Educational Institute (T.E.I. ), opposes educational institutions that educate kids in exchange for financial benefit. The experiences he has to go through as a result of his protest against this educational system make up the rest of the narrative.

In the film Vaathi, Samyuktha plays the female lead opposite Dhanush in the lead part. Verdict
Following Bahubali’s enormous success in India’s various languages, filmmakers are now bold enough to put up a few unusual pairings for their films. Expectations were already high when Dhanush said that he and Venky Atluri would be working together on a film despite coming from different parts of the film industry. These anticipations give us a really good frame of mind as we watch the film.
However, as soon as the film begins, we forget about the pairing and begin to get bored with a number of incredibly uninteresting scenes that last until the intermission. Although the story’s main idea is intriguing, the way it is portrayed on screen with so many unnecessary sequences in the first half will wear us out. Only in the second half does the movie pick up speed before losing direction again after a few moments. The movie comes to an expected climax and finishes simply.
Although actor Dhanush does a wonderful job playing the role of Balamurugan, we can feel that the character doesn’t provide him enough room to give a stronger performance. If his character had been written well, he could have accomplished more. Despite having little screen time, Samyukta’s performance falls short of expectations. In a negative role, Samuthirakani once again impressed. Sai Kumar, Tanikella Bharani, and other actors performed the roles necessary for the characters.
Vaathi looked extremely average technically. Songs by GV Prakash Kumar are not particularly memorable, and if we hear them again, we could grow accustomed to them. J Yuvraj’s cinematography falls short of expectations as well. Very few dialogues are written well. Excellent production values.
Director Venky Atluri, who is a master in handling young love stories, has for the first time done something different. But given that most of the scenes appear to be really dull, he could have paid more attention to the writing. He let us down after “Rang De” yet again.
Overall, Vaathi is a straightforward action movie with a moral. For Dhanush and the main plotline, you may see this movie in theatres.
