The Telugu film industry continues to expand its storytelling horizons by embracing socially relevant and experimental narratives. One such film that made a strong impression in late 2025 is “Dhandoraa”, a hard-hitting social drama that resonated deeply with both audiences and critics alike.

Released toward the end of 2025, Dhandoraa stood out for its bold subject matter and realistic storytelling. The film is inspired by a real-life incident and explores the deeply rooted issue of caste discrimination, presenting it in a thought-provoking and emotionally engaging manner. Its honest approach and powerful performances earned the film widespread appreciation across sections of viewers.
Following its successful theatrical run, the makers have now locked the film’s digital premiere. Amazon Prime Video has acquired the OTT streaming rights of Dhandoraa, and the platform has officially announced that the film will begin streaming from January 14, 2026, coinciding with the festive occasion of Sankranthi and Pongal.
Adding to its reach, Dhandoraa will be available in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, and Hindi audio versions, allowing the socially relevant story to connect with a pan-Indian audience.
The film features a strong ensemble cast including Shivaji, Navdeep, Nandu, Bindu Madhavi, Ravi Krishna, Manika, Mounika Reddy, Raadhya, and Muralidhar Goud, all of whom deliver impactful performances that enhance the film’s emotional depth.
Dhandoraa is written and directed by Murali Kanth Devasoth and produced by Ravindra Benerjee Muppaneni. The technical team includes Mark K. Robin as the music composer, Srujana Adusumilli as the editor, and Venkat R. Shakamuri as the cinematographer, whose work adds authenticity and visual strength to the narrative.
With its OTT premiere scheduled during the festive season, Dhandoraa is expected to gain renewed attention and spark meaningful conversations among a wider audience on Amazon Prime Video.
