Mohanlal Upcoming Movies: Malayalam film industry superstar Mohanlal is always working on multiple projects at the same time. This year has already seen the release of several of his films, including “12th Man,” “Aaraattu,” and “Bro Daddy.” The films “12th Man” and “Bro Daddy” bypassed theatres in favour of the Disney+Hotstar OTT platform. Mohanlal and Jeethu Joseph have collaborated on three films, the most recent being 12th Man.
Mohanlal’s audition dates coincided with the National Wrestling Championship, which was unfortunate for Navodaya Films. Narendran was scheduled to be played by a fresh actor in Fazil’s debut film, Manjil Virinja Pookkal. He decided to audition for parts and hasn’t looked back since. This 1980 love film, in which he played a cruel husband or wife, is today regarded as a classic. Despite the fact that he played his first role in the unreleased comedy film Thiranottam at the age of 18, this is still considered his first full-length feature. It was created at home by a bunch of his pals, and it was released 25 years later. In the three years following his first film, he appeared in nearly 25 films, almost all of them were poor. His first well-known acting part was in Padayottam, the first 70 mm film made in Malayali Cinema, the same year.
He rose to prominence first as the hero in the film Ivide Thudangunnu. Poochakkoru Mookkuthi, a 1984 comedy directed alongside his friend and fellow filmmaker Priyadarshan, is another cult favourite of his. Since then, the duo has had over 25 box office successes. He composed the soundtrack for the film Onnanam Kunnil Oradi Kunnil in 1985. This was his first job in the industry. In 1984, the actor, who was talented in a variety of fields, established Casino Films.
In 1986 alone, he appeared in 34 films. For his performance in the comedy-drama T.P. Balagopalan M.A., he received the Kerala State Film Award for Best Actor. He was the award’s youngest winner ever. In his first major roles, Rajavinte Makan (1986) and Irupatham Noottandu (1987), he stood out as a key character. As of 2015, the comedy-drama Chitram (1988) is still the longest-running film in the same theatre (58 weeks). The National Awards judges singled him out for appreciation for his performance in Kireedam that year.
