Mammootty Upcoming Movies: Mammootty’s films “Bheeshma Parvam,” “CBI 5: The Brain,” and “Puzhu” have already been released this year. He is a well-known Malayalam film actor. Bheeshma Parvam has already been dubbed one of the most popular Malayalam films of 2022. Instead of being shown in theatres, his film “Puzhu” went straight to Sony Liv.
Mammootty made his acting debut in the 1971 film Anubhavangal Paalichakal, but he received no credit. His debut film role was in Kaalachakram, which was released in 1973. However, the actor did not achieve success until 1980, when films such as Mela and Vilkkanundu Swapnangal were released (1980). Mammootty received his first Kerala State Film Award in 1981 for the film Ahimsa, directed by I. V. Sasi. He was named Best Supporting Actor.
Throughout the 1980s, he appeared in over 200 films and collaborated with renowned directors and screenwriters such as I. V. Sasi, K. G. George, Padmarajan, M. T. Vasudevan Nair, Bharathan, P. G. Viswambharan, K. Madhu, and Joshi.

In the epic film Oru Vadakkan Veeragatha, the actor got his first National Award for his performance as the folk hero Chandu Chekavar. He has previously won two Kerala State Film Awards for his roles in Adiyozhukkukal and Yathra. In addition, the film received a National Award for Best Screenplay and a Golden Globe for Best Picture.
