The Gokuldham Co-operative Housing Society in Mumbai’s Goregaon East district is home to a diverse mix of residents who are the subject of the show.
Gokuldham is referred to in the program as “Mini India.” As the plot develops, we observe how the residents of Gokuldham face numerous obstacles and strive to overcome them. The broadcast occasionally focuses on socioeconomic issues.
Each episode concentrates on Jethalal getting into a pickle and needing Taarak Mehta, who he refers to as his “Fire Brigade,” to help him out.
