Kantara Telugu Movie Review: Kantara has been a huge hit since it came out, so the authors have decided to have it translated into Telugu and Hindi. Since the Telugu version of the movie just came out today, October 15, 2022, and the Hindi version just came out yesterday, October 14, 2022, to great reviews, it’s time to see how they did.
Story
Shiva and his mother live in a tribal village that is very far away. Rishab Shetty is the name of the man or woman. He can’t lead the Daivaradhane and Bhoota Kola rituals anymore because of something terrible that happened to him when he was young. He doesn’t mind being homeless as long as he can hang out with his friends and make some money doing odd jobs for his landlord (Achyut Kumar). Forest Officer Murali gives the age-old battle between humans and nature a new twist (Kishore). How sure are you that Shiva will stop Murali from making the forest fall apart? Murali could attract bigger fish and be used to catch them.

Movie Verdict
After KGF did well, Kannada filmmakers started making movies like Kantara that were more about people. The conflict between people and the environment is at the heart of the movie, and director Rishab Shetty does a great job of developing this interesting idea.
The beginning of the movie sets the mood, and later scenes with Shiva (Rishab Shetty) and the Kambla race are played so well that you feel like you’re in the action. The story is predictable and has nothing new to offer, but the technical quality more than makes up for that.
You will be completely absorbed in the movie until the last 30 minutes when some of the same things happen again and again. In the first hour and a half, there are a lot of funny scenes and funny sequences. In the second hour and a half, the story of culture, traditions, and mystery gets more in-depth.
The harsh forest officer played by Rishab Shetty Kishore was great, and the rest of the cast was just as good. Even so, Shiva, whose natural acting style and believable character growth carried the movie, is still the most memorable thing about it.
Rishab Shetty’s goal of making a story with a solid foundation is met by the way he writes and runs the show.
Kantara knows a lot about how to direct photography. Aravind Kashyap takes us to Kantara by using setting, lighting, and framing in a clever way. The technical parts of the movie, like the background music (BGM) by Ajaneesh Loknath, are very well done, but the songs are forgettable.
Last but not least, I want to say that the movie Kantara is a masterpiece.
