Movie Verdict
The movie Ammu looks into a very interesting idea. Domestic violence affects a very large number of Indian homes. There have been other movies with similar goals, but none with a story as unique as Ammu’s. Its goal is to give women hope by pointing out their strengths and telling them about their legal rights. There are many similarities between our homes and the outside world.
Scenes in Ammu are just the right amount of intense because the characters are introduced slowly and then the focus is put on what they are doing. Even though there are a few long parts, the movie has a lot of memorable scenes. At the end of the movie, there was a strong message.
As Ammu, Aishwarya Lekshmi did a wonderful job. She did a good job of making people feel things more than once. Naveen Chandra is a talented Telugu actor, but he doesn’t get enough credit for how many different roles he can play. You did a great job as the tough cop and loving husband Ravi. Bobby Simha is a very good actor, so the fact that he doesn’t get much stage time is a waste. Even if he only has a small part, he will leave a mark that won’t be forgotten. Actors like Maala Parvathi, Raghu Babu, and others played out the events as planned.
Ammu seems fine from a technical point of view. The film’s score and soundtrack were made by Bharat Shankar. Apoorva Shaligram does a good job with the film’s cinematography. She uses some dark tones to set the mood, which fits with the story. Radha Sridhar’s style as an editor is clear. The story of the movie calls for high production values, so they are there.
Even though director Charukesh Sekar gets some of his points across about domestic violence in India, he could have done more to make the movie more interesting.
Ammu is great to work with as a whole, and there are even some moving parts. If you like social dramas, you can watch this movie on Amazon Prime.
