Adivi Sesh Biography

Adivi Sesh Education

Adivi Sesh is a well-known actor, screenwriter, and director in India’s Telugu film industry. He was born to Sunshi Chandra Adivi (a physician) and Bhavani on December 17th, 1984, in Hyderabad, Telangana, India. His sole sibling is a younger sister named Shirley (doctor). Sesh received his high school education at Berkeley’s Berkeley High and his undergraduate degree from San Francisco State University.

Sesh’s first film role was a supporting one in the 2002 film “Sontham.” The next year, in 2010, he directed and authored “Karma,” his first full-length feature. In the years following, he has amassed an impressive filmography, with roles in productions as diverse as Panjaa, Balupu, Kiss, Run Raja Run, Bahubali: The Beginning, Size Zero, Kshanam, Goodachari, Oh! Baby, and Evaru.

Adivi Sesh Early Life

Sesh’s first film role was in the supporting cast of Sontham (2002). Karma, starring Jade Tailor and Sher Ali, was his first film as director and writer in 2010. Sesh’s portrayal of Dev, who can see into the future and act accordingly, is a fan favourite. According to Rediff, “When it comes to acting, Sesh Adivi holds her own.” His “angelic” attractive looks make him a superb choice to play Dev, the film’s mystery protagonist. And his skill as a screenwriter is no less impressive. He took a risk by tackling an uncharted subject, but his goal was to inject some originality into Telugu cinema.

Adivi Sesh Career

Vishnuvardhan helmed the 2011 film Panjaa, which starred Pawan Kalyan, Sarah Jane Dias, Anjali Lavania, and Jackie Shroff. In the film, Sesh played a minor character. In the film, Sesh portrayed Munna, a spoiled rich kid who is also a highly dangerous non-resident alien. The villain’s first important part was in his introduction. His performance was praised by the critics. In contrast to his directing and acting début, Karma, the website Rediff said, “Sesh Adivi is worth watching for his’maniacal’ portrayal.”

CineGoer.com agreed, calling him “quite a discovery” and admiring his work. Afterward, he appeared as the villain in a film titled Balupu. Before Kiss, his only other misfire as a director had been a success. His career has taken off since his supporting role in Run Raja Run; he starred in Ladies & Gentlemen and Dongaata in 2015, and then in S.S. Rajamouli’s epic blockbuster Baahubali: The Beginning. He co-wrote the story and script for the 2016 film Kshanam, in which he co-starred alongside director Ravikanth Perepu. Following the success of the film, Sesh gained widespread recognition. After Kshanam, he was offered the lead in more than 50 scripts, all of which he declined. Thereafter, he had bit parts in films like Size Zero and Oopiri. He’s in Ami Thumi, a comedy by Mohanakrishna Indraganti.

On August 3, 2018, he oversaw the release of Goodachari, an action thriller that was widely praised by critics and audiences alike and remained in theatres for another 33 days, till September 6, 2018. The screenplay was written by both him and the film’s director, Sashi Kiran Tikka. He then appeared in Oh! Baby, starring Samantha Akkineni, as a surprise cameo. The suspense thriller Evaru, directed by Venkat Ramji and released on 15 August 2019, received mostly positive reviews from critics and went on to be a commercial success, remaining in theatres for more than 4 weeks.

His next movie will be Major, a biopic about the life of Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan. Goodachari 2 is a sequel to Sesh’s 2018 spy thriller, and he revealed in April 2020 that he will be writing the script. Sesh has also signed on to star in HIT 2: The Second Case, the planned sequel to HIT: The First Case (2022).
