As a youngster, Alencier Ley Lopez was moved by the Leyon Lopez Nadakaolsavam and decided to pursue a career in the performing arts (theatre festival). When he was only five years old, he made his stage debut. Later, Lopez and his friends established the Netaji Theatre, a theatre group where they wrote, produced, and took part in their own creative works.
Lopez had two career goals after completing his formal education: acting and ordination as a priest. During his time at college, he worked with organisations such as C. P. Krishnakumar’s Sopanam, Kavalam Narayana Panicker’s Sopanam, and K. Raghu’s Natakayogam. He kept up a career in theatre up until the scene platforms of film and television replaced the scene platforms of performance arts. Alencier Ley Lopez was first exposed to film by Venu, a cinematographer-turned-director, in his 1998 debut picture, Daya. He acted in K. R. Manoj’s (2013) critically acclaimed film Kanyaka Talkies. He then made an appearance in Vedivazhipadu in 2013, playing a typical Brahmin from south Kerala. After being cast in both films by filmmaker Rajiv Ravi in 2013, “Annayum Rasoolum,” starring Fahadh Faasil, and “Njan,” starring Steve Lopez, were two of his first parts. (2014).
Lopez received his big break after Faasil suggested he appear in Maheshinte Prathikaaram (2015). In Dileesh Pothan’s 2017 film Thondimuthalum Drisakhsiyum, in which he played a supporting part, he made his most recent cinematic appearance.
