Amitabh Bachchan Early Life

Amitabh Harivansh Rai Shrivastava was the name given to him when he was born on October 11, 1942, in Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh, India. Munna, Big B, Angry Young Man, AB Sr., Amith, and the Shahenshah of Bollywood are just a few of his many nick titles. He received three awards from the Indian government: the Padma Shri in 1984, the Padma Bhushan in 2001, and the Padma Vibhushan in 2015.

He was born into a Kayastha Hindu family because his mother, Teji Bachchan, is Sikh and his father, Harivansh Rai Bachchan, is a Hindu. Shyama is the name of his stepmother. Following the advice of his father’s friend and fellow poet Sumitranandan Pant, Amitabh’s name was changed from Inquilaab, which was derived from the Urdu phrase Inquilab Zindabad, to Amitabh. His father legally changed his last name from Shrivastava to Bachchan so that his son may pursue a career in show business.

His younger brother and sibling is Ajitabh Bachchan. Actress Shweta Bachchan and actor Abhishek Bachchan are two of the couple’s two children. He wed Jaya Bhaduri on June 3, 1973.

Amitabh Bachchan Career

His first significant acting role came in the 1969 Bollywood film Saat Hindustani as Anwar Ali. He entered politics in 1984 for Rajiv Gandhi, a personal friend of his. He competed for the Allahabad constituency in the ninth Lok Sabha elections against Hemvati Nandan Bahuguna. His victory margin was the greatest in general election history with 68.2 percent of the vote. He only served in politics for three years before deciding to depart because he thought it was a muck.

In order to start Amitabh Bachchan Corporation Ltd. (ABCL), which aspires to deliver services and goods across the whole Indian entertainment sector, he temporarily left his performing career. Since the company started producing movies in 1996, all of them have been failures.

In 1997, he made his acting comeback in the Bollywood film Mrityudata, which was produced by ABCL, but it was a critical and financial flop. As the principal sponsor of the Miss World pageant in Bangalore in 1996, ABCL frittered away millions of rupees. The Indian Industries Board eventually declared ABCL to be a defunct corporation after it entered administration. Indian politician Amar Singh helped him out when he needed money, and Amitabh subsequently started supporting Singh and his Samajwadi Party.

He hosted the Indian game show Kaun Banega Crorepati in seasons 1, 2, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, and 9. In addition to hosting the third season of the well-known reality series Bigg Boss in 2009, he also hosted the Indian entertainment discussion programme Aaj Ki Raat Hai Zindagi. In addition, he had a few television appearances, including Yudh (2014), in which he portrayed Yudhisthir Sikarwar, and Astra Force (2016–2017), in which he played Astra.
