AR Murugadoss Education
Government Higher Secondary School alum Murugadoss attended Bishop Heber College to earn his bachelor’s in arts. Murugadoss engaged in a variety of artistic pursuits while a student at the university, particularly mimicry and painting. He consequently developed a love of movies, attending as many as seven films per week in his hometown, and even started to experiment with comedy writing. After they were published in Ananda Vikatan, Murugadoss started to think about making fiction writing his full-time profession. He made his first attempts at writing and performing sketch comedy at Bharathidasan University.

His birthplace of Kallakurichi, Tamil Nadu, serves as Murugadoss’s hometown. Murugadoss started adopting the initials “AR,” which represent for his father’s name Arunasalam, after signing his debut movie, Dheena, in 2001. Murugadoss’ current residence is in Virugambakkam, Chennai.
AR Murugadoss Career
After graduating from college, he submitted an application to the Madras Film Institute but was rejected. Murugadoss nevertheless continued to work in a number of capacities in Chennai. When he contributed lines to the Tamil film Madurai Meenakshi as P. Kalaimani’s assistant, he got his start in the business. He was given the position of assistant director halfway through the 1997 film Ratchagan’s development. Later on, he played the same part in the Telugu movie Kalusukundam. Ra. S. J. Surya and Murugadoss collaborated on the movie Kushi.
He thought of collaborating with producer Oscar Ravichandran in 2003 on the Vikram-starring movie Varathan. S. J. Suryah recommended Murugadoss when Ajith Kumar was looking for a director for his debut film, Dheena. He then directed the motion pictures Ramana, Ghajini, and Stalin. The Hindi remake of his 2005 movie of the same name, Ghajini, was his debut Bollywood feature. It smashed the record for the greatest opening weekend domestic gross for a Bollywood film on its first release date of December 25, 2008, with over 100 crore. His subsequent Tamil film, 7aum Arivu, which was released on Diwali 2011, was more well-liked outside of Tamil Nadu than it was in that state. Fox Star Studios and Murugadoss have signed a contract for the production of two Tamil movies.
