Madurai is where he was born and raised. When he was younger, he was particularly interested in photography. Following the completion of his education, he started shooting weddings. He eventually became interested in filmmaking and started to produce wedding videos. He started seeking jobs in theatres because he has many friends. Through his connections, he was able to serve as an associate cinematographer on Sundar C’s Arunachalam, breaking into the Tamil film industry. Later, in the movies Pathinaaru and A Aa E Ee, he served as the main cameraman. Aruldoss has frequently collaborated with filmmaker Suseenthiran following his acting debut in Naan Mahaan Alla and cameos in Azhagarsamiyin Kuthirai, Rajapatta, and Paayum Puli.
Due to his close friendship with Seenu Ramasamy, Aruldoss has also appeared in Thenmerku Paruvakaatru, Neerparavai, and Idam Porul Yaeval. He has also appeared in acclaimed films like Papanasam, Thanga Meengal, and Soodhu Kavvum. Aruldoss accidentally struck Gayathrie while filming Ponmaalai Pozhudhu. Later, he apologized in writing for his actions.
