Asif Ali Biography

Asif Ali Education

He studied business at Marian College in Kuttikkanam and graduated with a degree. While attending college, Ali worked as a video jockey and an advertising model.

Asif Ali Early Life

In 2010, Sathyan Anthikad released his second film, the Malayalam drama Kadha Thudarunnu, which starred Jayaram and Matta Mohandas and was widely praised by critics. Apoorvaragam, a Malayalam suspense film, was also released that year. Asianet’s Best Villain award went to Asif despite the film’s underwhelming box office performance. Best of Luck, a Malayalam remake of the Bollywood comedy All the Best: Fun Begins, was released in the same year. Sadly, critics were not nearly as kind to this version as they were to the original. In 2011, he featured alongside three other leads in the critically acclaimed Malayalam movie Traffic. The box office success of the movie prompted remakes in 2013 (as Chennaiyil Oru Naal) and 2016 (as Traffic in Hindi). Salt N’ Pepper, a commercially successful romantic comedy about two different couples, was released the same year. His 2011 film Ithu Nammude Katha was met with middling reviews from reviewers and was a financial failure.

In 2012, Asif was in thirteen movies. Unnam’s Asuravithu was nominated for Best Actor in a Negative Role at the 2nd South Indian International Movie Awards, despite the film’s mixed reception and disappointing box office performance. Several of Asif’s subsequent films received middling to negative reviews, and only Husbands of Goa, directed by Saju Surendran, was a commercial success that year.

Asif Ali Career

Shyamaprasad cast him as a lead in his film Ritu, and he received rave praises from audiences and critics alike for his performance. So after that, Sathyan Anthikkad asked him to be in his film Kadha Thudarunnu in a pivotal role. Apoorvaragam was Sibi Malayil’s third film, which he also directed.

Following his role in Traffic, he had appearances in Best of Luck and other films. Rajesh Kannankara wrote and directed his second film, Ithu Nammude Katha. Ali played Manu Raghav, a free-spirited young man who constantly puts himself in dangerous circumstances due to his generous nature, in Aashiq Abu’s 2011 film Salt N’Pepper.

As of this year (2018), B Tech, Iblis, and Mandharam are his most widely read works. The 100-day run of B Tech in Kerala was a financial success.
