Acclaimed filmmaker Jeethu Joseph, widely regarded as a master of suspense thrillers, returned this year with his latest Malayalam film Mirage, featuring Asif Ali and Aparna Balamurali in the lead roles. Known for his gripping narratives and emotional depth, Jeethu Joseph once again attempted to explore the layers of human psychology through a mystery-driven story.
While Mirage offered several intriguing plot twists and strong performances, it didn’t manage to create the same level of excitement as Jeethu Joseph’s earlier blockbusters like Drishyam and Drishyam 2. The film opened to mixed reviews from audiences and critics alike, performing moderately at the box office.
Following its theatrical run, Mirage is now gearing up for its digital premiere. The OTT streaming rights have been acquired by Sony LIV, and the movie will begin streaming on the platform from October 20, 2025. To reach a wider audience, the film will be available in seven languages — Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Hindi, Bengali, and Marathi.
Produced by Mukesh R. Mehta, C.V. Sarathi, and Jatin M. Sethi, the film brings together a strong technical crew. Satheesh Kurup handled the cinematography, Vinayakh took charge of editing, and Vishnu Shyam composed the film’s haunting background score.
With Mirage arriving on OTT, viewers who missed it in theatres can now experience Jeethu Joseph’s latest psychological thriller from the comfort of their homes, streaming exclusively on Sony LIV this October.
