Verdict

Movies that try to make a lot of people laugh make more money. Darja is an example of a movie that tries to appeal to a wide range of people but fails to do so because it has a bad story and boring production. When the movie starts, you’ll see some of the most cringe-worthy parts right away. Because of this, the movie’s plot moves in a boring and predictable way, with no sense of character or conflict to keep people interested.

Even though Sunil tries hard, it is hard to watch him act like a serious police officer with a heavy voice and a serious tone. The way Anasuya Bharadwaj plays the bad guy makes us think that she is only good for small screens and is not very good. The rest of the people did their jobs well.

The movie is at best average in terms of how well it is made. The “Rap Rock” music and background music by Shakeel is played too often. The way Darshan uses the camera and cuts the film doesn’t leave much of an impression. Even though the acting is great, director Saleem Malik has made a movie with a tired plot and a dull look that won’t appeal to the people he wants to see it.

Lastly, Darja is for people who like commercial entertainers who are at best average. If you like Sunil or Anasuya Bharadwaj a lot, you might want to see it in a theatre.
