He is an Indian actor, producer, and distributor who mostly works in the Kannada film industry. Son of actor Thoogudeepa Srinivas, he started his career in the middle of the 1990s with roles in soap operas and movies. His first big role was in the movie Majestic, which came out in 2001.
He was born in the Indian state of Karnataka, in the city of Mysuru. His parents were actors Thoogudeepa Srinivas and Meena. He called as Drashan. Srinivas was the main character in the Kannada movie Thoogudeepa, which came out in 1966. This gave him a lot of attention and made the nickname stick to his name. His father often played dangerous bad guys in Kannada movies. Even though this was true, his life was never easy because his father didn’t want to play Darshan in movies. He was made to go to the Ninasam Theater Training Institute in Shimoga.

Darshan Early Life
Darshan, whose real name is Hemanth Kumar, was born to actors Thoogudeepa Srinivas and Meena. Dinakar Thoogudeepa, who is the younger brother of Darshan and also a film director and screenwriter, runs the company Thoogudeepa Productions. Darshan went to elementary and middle school in Mysuru when he was a young boy. Before making it big in movies, Darshan was in a few teleserials and story shows.
Darshan Career
After dropping out of Ninasam, Darshan worked as a lightboy in a few movies before getting his big break as the legendary cinematographer B. C. Gowrishankar’s assistant cameraman. Darshan’s first roles were small and uncredited. During this time, he also had a few small roles in soap operas on TV.
In 2000, P. N. Satya’s 2001 movie Majestic came out. It was Darshan’s big break in the movie business. After that, he was in a number of big-budget movies, such as Kariya, Daasa, Kalasipalya, and Gaja. Darshan has also been in movies with other stars. For example, he was in Snehana Preethina with Aditya and Anatharu with Upendra.
He won his first Karnataka State Film Awards and the Filmfare Award for best actor for the historical drama Krantiveera Sangolli Rayanna, in which he played the main character. He also showed up in Chakravarthy and Sarvantrayami.
