Verdict
The Dharavi Bank series, which follows a man named Thalaivan who lives in the Dharavi slum, is unique among all the gangster films and television shows because of the way it is handled.
The first episode is very exciting and features a lot of serious and intense events that are happening in Mumbai. The premise immediately draws you in and makes you feel like you are a part of the narrative. For the next four episodes or so, the pace of the show slows, and because there is so much drama, viewers may become disinterested.
Although some of the episodes have problems and drag, the remaining ones have many elements that will keep you on the edge of your seat. The journey of Thailvan and how a man from Tamil Nadu rules Mumbai from Dharavi and is in charge of the largest crime syndicate all seemed quite out of the ordinary at first, but after learning more about Thalaivan’s journey, you will understand.
The rest of the cast, including Sonali Kulkarni, Luke Kenny, Freddy Daruwala, Shanthi Priya, Santosh Juvekar, Nagesh Bhosle, and Siddharth Menon, all gave outstanding performances. Sunil Shetty is outstanding as Thalaivan, as is Vivek Oberoi as JCP Jayant; the latter never fails to deliver a stellar performance.
Despite the movie’s flaws, Samit Kakkad is successful in keeping the audience’s attention by using what is essentially a standard gangster story to make it interesting.
Although the rest of the crew did a good job and the cinematography and score match the tone, there was room for improvement technically in Dharavi Bank.
In the end, Dharavi Bank is a must-see production.
