DVV Danayya Early Life

His birth name, Dasari Veera Venkata Danayya, is a very long and complicated one. A local of the small village of Palapudi, located in the region formerly known as the West Godavari district of Andhra Pradesh. He was always engrossed in movies, even as a young child. Padipantalu (1976) and Meghasandesam (1982) are only two of many movies that were shot there. He became fascinated with filmmaking just by spending time on the set. His parents were completely against him pursuing a career in the entertainment industry.

Sometime afterwards, he worked with E. V. V. Satyanarayana on the below-average earnings Maavidaakulu (1998). His next film, Samudram (1999), was directed by Krishna Vamsi and was only somewhat successful at the box office. The Malayalam film Kottaram Veettile Apputtan (1998) was adapted into the 2000 Tamil film Manasunna Maaraju, directed by Muthyala Subbaiah. It was a commercial success.

The following film he directed, starring Balakrishna, Seema Simham (2002), was a commercial failure. Juniors, starring Allari Naresh, was his 2003 Telugu version of the Tamil film Thulluvadho Ilamai. A lack of ticket sales meant the film bombed. His second film, 2003’s Oka Radha Iddaru Krishnula Pelli, was also a commercial success.
