Govind Vasantha Education
The educational background of Govind Vasantha is unknown; however, Vijay Sethupathy of a Tamil television programme claimed that Govind Vasantha, a founding member of the musical success Thaikkudam Bridge, had changed his last name from Menon to Vasantha in an effort to end caste and promote equality even in name-optics. His father Peethambaran Menon has been a standout player of the Thaikkudam bridge since his retirement from the Government Services in the Irrigation Department in 2012. On December 4, 2012, Govind wed Renjini Achuthan Menon, his longtime love.
Govind Vasantha Early Life
He picked up the violin and studied both classical and western styles in order to fulfil his father’s wish that he pursue music education. His debut movie was the 2012 Malayalam release of the action movie Thiruvambadi Thamban. He later wrote the music for several Malayalam movies, including North 24 Kaatham, Vegam, Nagaravaridhi Naduvil Njan, and 100 Days of Love. In the 2015 film Oru Pakka Kathai, which was directed by Balaji Tharaneetharan, Govind made his acting debut. In 2017, he made his acting debut in the Tamil romance movie 96, for which he provided the music.
Govind Vasantha Career
Govind Menon once again provided the music for a Vijay Sethupathi-starring movie, “Seethakaathi,” which also starred Trisha Krishnan in “96.” He also made a cameo appearance in the movie. He provided the music for several 2019 films, including “Uriyadi 2” by Vijaykumar and “Thambi” by Jyothika Saravanan and Karthik Sivakumar.
In 2020, he provided the music for the Telugu movie “Jaanu,” starring Sharwanand and Samantha Akkineni. Govind created the music for “K Bhagyaraj,” an OTT release, and “Ponmagal Vandhal” by Jyothika. He also contributed music to the Putham Pudhu Kaalai soundtrack, an anthology movie. After years of delays, Oru Pakka Kathai, directed by Balaji Tharaneetharan and starring him and Megha Akash, debuted on Zee 5 in 2020. He made his Hindi acting debut the same year with the movie Taish.
He composed the soundtrack for the movie as well as a few songs. Hey Sinamika, a 2021 film directed by “Brinda” and featuring Dulquer Salmaan, Kajal Aggarwal, and Aditi Rao Hydari, was composed by Govind Menon. He composed the music for the films Chethi Mandharam Thulasi, Tughlaq Darbar, and “Padavettu,” a Malayalam film directed by Nivin Pauly and starring Vijay Sethupathi.
On October 29, 1988, in the city of Thrissur in the Indian state of Kerala, Govind Menon was born. His parents are Vasanthakumari and Peethambaran Menon. When Govind was a young man, he made the decision to legally change his last name from Menon to Vasantha by adopting his mother’s maiden name. In 2012, he got married to Ranjini Achuthan. Govind Menon, a well-known actor, and Aishwarya Lekshmi, an Oscar-winning actress, are first cousins. Gopinathan, Govind’s uncle, was a renowned Carnatic musician.
Govind Menon was named the best music director of the year by the Filmfare Awards.
