After that, she went to Punjabi University in Patiala and graduated with a bachelor’s in mathematics. Modeling was Panag’s first move in the world of business. She received the Miss India title in 1999. In the same year, she also participated in Miss Universe. She has since appeared in a variety of advertisements. She serves as one of the faces of the Tata Sky television network, along with superstar Aamir Khan.

In 2003’s Dhoop, a film starring Ashwini Chaudhary, Panag made her acting debut.
