On March 6, 2016, Jaffar’s close friend and south Indian actor Kalabhavan Mani passed away in his farmhouse in Chalakudy, Kerala. Mani was discovered unconscious at a house party hosted by Jaffar and a few of the actor’s friends in the Paddy area, according to Ramakrishnan, Mani’s brother, who spoke to the media.
