Shergill received his schooling at Yadavindra Public School in Patiala, The Punjab Public School in Nabha, and St. Paul’s College in Lucknow. Jimmy had made clear that he intended to join the military while still a student. At Bikram College, Punjabi University, he pursued a B.Com.
