K.V. Guhan Education
Both K.V.Guhan and K.V. Guhan have worked as directors and cinematographers. In the Indian state of Tamil Nadu, in the city of Chennai, he was born and raised. K.V. Guhan was born in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, on April 26, 1972. He is the younger brother of the director Saran. K.V. Guhan received his cinematography degree from the Film and Television Institute of India. Later, he worked in Tollywood and Kollywood, where he quickly made a name for himself as a leading cinematographer and even directed a few movies.
K.V. Guhan Career
K.V. Guhan made his acting and directing debut in the 2003 movie Kushi. He appeared in other movies after that, including Naani, Athadu, Aarya, Muni, and Jalsa. After that, he became the director of the movie Inidhu Inidhu. Only a handful of the movies he filmed after going back to cinematography include Dookudu, SVSC, Aagadu, Baadshah, Mister, and Jawan. He has helmed films such as 118 and WWW.
K V Guhan worked for Bala Chander in the editing division for the first three to four years of his career. After that, he started working as well-known cinematographer P.C. Sree Ram’s assistant. His first movie, Kushi (Hindi Feature), came out in 2003. The same year, Mahesh Babu-starring Naani, his first Telugu film, was released. He finally had the opportunity to film in Tamil, his mother tongue, after waiting for a year. The movie had just been released for the first time. That was the start of a fruitful career for him.
He has mostly worked with Trivikram Srinivas, Mahesh Babu, and Prakash Raj throughout his career. Nine movies were created by K V Guhan and Prakash Raj together. Despite having tested out three other candidates for the position, Srinu Vaitla ultimately decided to stick with Guhan as his DOP for both “Dookudu” and “Baadshah.” He was born and raised in Tamil, however, he has primarily appeared in Telugu films. The first movie K V Guhan made was Inidhu Inidhu. The film’s executive producer was Prakash Raj.
