Kabir Khan Early Life
His Hindu mother Leela and Muslim father Rasheeduddin Khan welcomed Kabir into the world on September 14, 1968, in Hyderabad, Telangana. Rasheeduddin Khan was a founding professor at Jawahar Lal Nehru University.

Kabir Khan Career
Kabir started his career in the film business at the early age of 25, working as a cameraman on a few documentaries, including Gautam Ghose’s Beyond the Himalayas, which aired on the Discovery Channel. His debut film as a director was The Forgotten Army, which was about Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose and the Azad Hind Fauj. The Titanic Sinks in Kabul and Taliban Years and Beyond, two of Kabir’s other well-known documentaries, were released in the same year, 2001.
Following his success with documentaries, Kabir made his Bollywood debut with Kabul Express (2006), which received the “Indira Gandhi Award” for Best First Film of a Director. The video generated a controversy in Afghanistan as the Afghan Ministry of Culture complained about how unfairly it portrayed the nation’s ethnic minority.

In the Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif-starring 2012 movie Ek Tha Tiger, Kabir also served as director.
