Karthi Education
India’s Tamil Nadu state is where Karthi was born (now Chennai). He attended Chennai’s Padma Seshadri Bala Bhavan and St. Bede Anglo-Indian Upper Secondary School for his elementary and secondary schooling, respectively. His alma mater, Crescent Engineering College, is located in Chennai, and he graduated with a degree in mechanical engineering. After graduating, he considered continuing his education in a different country and began working as an engineering consultant in Chennai. As he explained in an interview, he made $5,000 per month but found the work tedious. Karthi was given funding to attend graduate school in the United States. In New York, he attended Binghamton University, where he earned a Master of Science in Industrial Engineering. He kept on studying while also taking some extra filmmaking courses.

Karthi is the second son of actor Sivakumar and his wife, Lakshmi. Karthi’s younger sister is named Brindha, while his older brother Suriya was already a famous actor when Karthi made his debut. Karthi’s sister-in-law is Jyothika, a popular Tamil actress. On July 3, 2011, Karthi married Ranjani Chinnaswamy, a master’s in English literature student at Stella Maris College in Chennai. Their wedding was place on April 29, 2011, beginning at Ranjani’s hometown of Goundampalayam, Erode District, and concluding at the CODISSIA Exhibition Center in Coimbatore. The wedding was organised by the family patriarchs. Umayaal, their first child, entered the world on January 11, 2013.

The actor Karthi was born on May 25, 1977, in Chennai. After commencing his formal education at Padma Seshadri Bala Bhavan, he continued it at St. Bede’s Anglo Indian Higher Secondary School in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. After complete his formal education, Karthi attended Crescent Engineering College in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, where he graduated with a degree in engineering. He spent a year as an engineering consultant in Chennai before returning to school for his Master of Science in engineering. In New York, he attended Binghamton University to earn a master’s degree in industrial engineering.
While he was studying to become a teacher, he attended filmmaking workshops out of pure interest. A graphic designer by trade, he also did this as a side gig. To pursue his dream of becoming a filmmaker, he enrolled in introductory filmmaking classes at State University of New York. Karthi comes from a family of actors; both his father and, more recently, his brother Surya have found success in the film industry. Therefore, he takes pleasure in going to the movies and giving high marks to those who deliver the most impressive displays of craft and acting. Karthi chose a life of heroism, and in 2007 he found the success he had been seeking in his career. Following the advice of his father, the Tamil actor Siva Kumar, he got a good education and learned as much as he could before attempting a career in film.
