Kasthuri Story
A rustic babe’s story about her city-bred husband The future spouse, Ram, is looking for a companion who is smart and well-read. While visiting Kasturi with his parents in the hamlet, he observes a more alluring girl hanging out by the well. They set things up so that Ram will sanction the union since he thinks Kasthuri (Easwari Rao) is Kasthuri. The reality of Kasturi, who is much darker than he had envisioned and neither well-educated nor fashionable in look, shocks Ram on the day of their wedding. He eventually caves in and marries Kasthuri (Easwari Rao) because he is stuck with her as his wife. He then returns Kasturi to his residence in Chennai, Tamil Nadu.
As the story progresses, Ram is able to track down the rural girl he had met, makes contact with her, and secretly weds her while still married to Kasturi. Ram has a friend who is extraordinarily cordial and responsible. He helps in making that link so that Kasturi and her father can find Ram again. We observe Kasthuri’s (Easwari Rao) adjustment to life without Ram over the entire course of the program.
