To learn of his brother Kotagiri Gopal Rao’s passing on November 6th, 2012, was a sad event. Following their father’s passing, his older brother assumed the role of primary breadwinner. Venkateshwara Rao had no desire to learn at the time. He made it through freshman year (called matriculation) before deciding to leave college. After that, he planned on becoming a film editor.

Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao is an Indian film editor who specialises in the Telugu film style. With over a hundred films edited throughout the course of his four decade career, Venkateswara Rao has been recognised as the best editor six times with the Nandi Award. His professional career began in 1977. He was originally from Andhra Pradesh, and his family settled in the city of Hyderabad. He co-founded the Andhra Pradesh Film Federation with his younger brother Kotagiri Gopal Rao. He had been in his current role for about six years. He married Sujatha, and they had two lovely daughters, Padmaja and Neeraja.

Kotagiri Venkateshwara Rao founded the successful film studio Kotagiri Films, which is responsible for a number of critically acclaimed movies. His expertise as an editor has helped more than fifty films. He got his start in editing from K.Raghevendra Rao. His first film, Adavi Remuda, came out in 1977.
K.Raghvendra Rao was responsible for the cinematography and direction. He got his start in the film industry thanks to his brother, but he eventually worked his way up to the position of top editor through his own talent and persistence. The government of Andhra Pradesh, India presented him with the Nandi award, the state’s highest honour for actors and the film industry. Five times he triumphed, and each time he did so he won. The Nandi for Sye, the Subhash Chandra Bose for Darling, the Magadheera award for Magadheera, and the Vijay award for Naan Ee are just a few of the many accolades he has received. He’s known as Chandi Guru in the film industry. In 2009, after much toil on Magadheera’s behalf, he was at last given due credit for his efforts.
Almost fifty films featured him, but it was the film Megathere that made him a household name in India. He has worked with such acclaimed filmmakers as S.S. Rajmouli and Y.S. Chowdary. The legendary actor and director S.S. Rajmouli is widely considered to be one of India’s finest filmmakers. Films starring modern A-listers like Samantha and Kajal Aggarwal, as well as those starring legends like Ram Charan, Charan, Charan, and the Young Tiger, Junior NTR, have all been edited by him.
