Kumud was born in the Madhya Pradesh town of Chakghat. from Belgaum, Karnataka, originally.

Kumud’s family presently resides in Nepal, but they were originally from India. His father served in the Indian military and was also an actor. He constantly encouraged Kumud to pursue acting in Bhopal’s theatre scene when they were kids.

Kumud wed Ayesha Raza on February 9, 2008, in a religious ceremony. Ayesha has appeared in a number of Bollywood movies, including Bharat (2004), Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety (2018), and Bharat (2019). (2019). They have given their son the name Kabir, also known as Kabbu.

Kumud Mishra Career

Kumud’s father advised him to seek an acting profession. He got connected with the “Bharat Bhavan Culture Center” in Bhopal. There, he worked with renowned theatre directors like Sachin Tiwari, John Martin, Alok Nandan, Bansi Kaul, and many more while appearing in a few plays. He was permitted to join “The Little Ballet Theatre” of Prabhat Ganguly. He also went to the Soviet Union’s 1989 India Festival.

He enrolled in Delhi’s prestigious “National School of Drama” in 1990 in order to obtain an acting diploma. The acclaimed stage actor and director Satyadev Dubey served as one of his mentors. Once, Satyadev requested that he travel to Mumbai for an audition for the Shyam Benegal-directed movie “The Making of the Mahatma” (1996). Kumud and Rajit Kapoor were both selected as finalists, but Rajit ultimately won the position.

He has spent more than 20 years as a crucial part of the renowned Prithvi Theatre. He appeared in the 1995 episode of the DD National television programme Swabhimaan. He had his first significant part in the Bollywood film “Sardari Begum” (1996). But it didn’t help him get any significant film roles. He never completely exited the stage because of this.

He was chosen to appear in the 2007 movie 1971 alongside Manoj Bajpaiyee and Ravi Kishan. But “Rockstar,” a movie, was what made him a household name (2011). He played the part of “Khatana Bhai” in the movie. There were numerous additional Bollywood movies that came out after this one, including Ranjhanaa (2013), Revolver Rani (2014), Lekar Hum Deewana Dil (2014), Badlapur (2015), Airlift (2016), Sultan (2016), Rustom (2016), MS Dhoni: The untold story (2016), Rock On 2 (2016), Jolly LLB 2 (2017), Article 15 (2019), and P Se Pyaar F Se Faraar (2019).
