Kunal Kapoor Early Life
Kapoor was born in Mumbai on October 18, 1977. While his mother Kanan performed singing and took care of the home, Kishore Kapoor Sr. worked in the construction sector. His parents were both born in Punjab’s Amritsar. He is the youngest of two siblings; Geeta and Reshma are older.
In February 2015, Kapoor wed Amitabh Bachchan’s niece Naina Bachchan in Seychelles during a small, private wedding. A celebratory meal was served on April 11, 2015, in New Delhi. The delighted parents welcomed a boy on January 31, 2022.
Kunal Kapoor Career
Kapoor enrolled in Barry John’s acting programme and joined Motley, the illustrious theatre group founded by Naseeruddin Shah. His work as an assistant director on the Manoj Bajpayee and Amitabh Bachchan movie Aks marked the start of his career in the motion picture business. In the 2004 movie Meenaxi: A Tale of Three Cities, directed by MF Hussain and starring Tabu, Kapoor made his acting debut. He then co-starred with Aamir Khan in the 2006 film Rang De Basanti, for which he received a Filmfare Best Supporting Actor Award nomination.
The movie got favourable reviews from both reviewers and viewers, landing it a slot on the 2007 BAFTA Best Foreign Film candidates list. Later, Yash Raj Films made a three-film agreement offer to Kapoor (YRF). Laaga Chunari Mein Daag (2007), Aaja Nachle (2007), and Bachna Ae Haseeno (2007) are a few of his movies (2008). After taking a break for two years, Kapoor co-starred with Sanjay Dutt in Lamhaa, which won a national award, directed by Rahul Dholakia (2010).
Despite the movie’s dismal box office performance, Kapoor received plaudits for his portrayal of a young Kashmiri politician. The reviewers called it “one of the year’s most powerful performances.” In the same year, Raizada Rohit Jaising Vaid’s animated movie Mahayoddha Rama included Kapoor as the voice of the Hindu deity Rama. His act in Shahrukh Khan’s 2011 flick Don 2 was well received by the public. Kapoor co-wrote a portion of the script for the 2012 lighthearted comedy Luv Shuv Tey Chicken Khurana, which was directed by Sameer Sharma and starred him.
The movie was well-received by critics, who placed it in the top 10 of the year. In a favourable review from The New York Times, Kapoor was compared to American actor Matthew McConaughey. He appeared in the eccentric comedy Kaun Kitne Paani Mein, which was released in 2014. The epic action trilingual movie Veeram, which is helmed by National Award-winner Jayaraj and stars Kapoor, Gauri Shinde, and Tigmanshu Dhulia, is about the struggles of the Indian National Army.
