Verdict

This show’s first season focused on the protagonists’ backgrounds and failures in order to define their positions in the narrative. In Season 2, the major characters’ political journeys take some unexpected detours, revealing yet another aspect of their already complex personalities. The first season’s unique premise and captivating narrative enthralled the audience; however, the second season falls flat owing to its uninspired storytelling and formulaic storyline developments. However, there are several aspects of season 2 that fans will find intriguing.

Again showcasing her acting talent, Huma Qureshi plays the role of Rani Bharati. As usual, Sohum Shah was excellent, but his appearance appeared forced, and it was clear that his mustache and beard were false. The other shining star of the present season is Amit Sial. He truly gave it his all and did a fantastic job. From Kani Kusruthi to Pramod Pathak, everyone on stage delivered a flawless performance.

It appears to be a solid series on paper. The series’ music and score complemented the mood without being oppressive and were not essential to the action. While some of the cinematography in the series was fantastic, the majority of the images seem a little monotonous. Although the production quality of this political series is superb, it can be challenging to speak to such a large crowd while recording scenes of political events.

Director Ravindra Gautam only partially succeeded in carrying over the buzz from the first season to the second. True, the director tried hard to create a few memorable situations.

Overall, Maharani’s second season is a political drama that works well.
