The actress, whose parents were also actors and who was raised in Delhi, went to Kendriya Vidyalaya and Kirori Mal College before enrolling in Delhi University’s Bachelor of Science programme. Both of his parents had a strong interest for the performing arts, and his father was a theatrical performer and teacher. His mother is a Hindu, but his father is a Muslim. Zeeshan became interested in theatre after learning about it at his university for a variety of reasons.

His parents convinced him to join the theatre despite his initial reluctance and encouraged him to explore other kinds of expression through acting. He then enrolled in the National School of Drama in New Delhi. Zeeshan wed theatre and television actress Rasika Agashe in 2007. Zeeshan originally began his acting career in college theatre. He stayed active in the theatre scene after earning his degree from NSD. He made his Bollywood debut, though, in the 2011 historical thriller No One Killed Jessica, playing Monu, the movie’s major antagonist. The movie, which was based on the 1999 Jessica Lal murder case and starred Vidya Balan and Rani Mukerji in pivotal parts, was both a critical and financial success. After making his debut, he appeared in movies like Mere Brother Ki Dulhan and Jannat 2 with Imran Khan and Emraan Hashmi. Zeeshan became well-known thanks to his depiction of Murari in Aanand L.
