Nana Patekar Education
He went to school at Samarth Vidyalaya in the Dadar West district of Mumbai. After that, he enrolled in Bandra School of Arts in Mumbai. He studied at the Sir J.J. Institute of Applied Art in Mumbai and received a diploma in commercial art as his degree.
Nana Patekar Early Life
In the Murud-Janjira region of Bombay State, Nana Patekar was born as Vishwanath Patekar on January 1st, 1951 (making him 68 years old as of 2019). (now Maharashtra). He wonderfully fits the Capricorn zodiac sign.
His mother, Nirmala Patekar, stayed at home to raise Nana while his father, Gajanan Patekar, ran a textile company. Five of his parents’ seven children perished. His brothers have names like Dilip Patekar and Ashok Patekar. In 1978, Nana and Neelkanti Patekar got married (an actress, producer, and former bank official). He had a son who was also named Malhar Patekar. He also had a second son, who tragically died at the young age of 2.
Nana Patekar Career
He started working at Strusa Advertising as a commercial illustrator and visualizer after finishing art school. He eventually quit his job to focus only on performing. He made his screen debut in the Bollywood movie “Gaman” (1978). In his debut Marathi film, Sinhasan (1979), he played a little role.
“Prahaar: The Final Attack,” his debut feature film as a filmmaker, was released in 1991. “Natsamrat,” his debut production as a producer, was released in 2016. The films Yeshwant (1997), Wajood (1998), and Aanch all feature playback singing (2001).
