Nandamuri Balakrishna Education 

On June 10, 1960, in Madras (today’s Chennai, Tamil Nadu), N.T. Rama Rao and his wife Basavatarakam gave birth to Nandamuri Balakrishna, a Telugu actor and three-time chief minister of Andhra Pradesh. Because the Telugu film industry was then concentrated in Madras, he spent his whole life there. In his teen years, he moved to Hyderabad as a result of the relocation of the Telugu film business.

He was awarded a Balakrishna married Vasundhara Devi in 1982 at the age of 22, and the two went on to have three children together. Balakrishna was born in Chennai, and he spent his youth and adolescence there as well. After Hyderabad became the global hub of the film industry, he moved there. He earned a Bachelor of Commerce from Nizam College in Hyderabad.

Nandamuri Balakrishna Early Life

Balakrishna made his acting debut in the N when he was a young performer. Tatamma Kala, is a movie directed by T. Rama Rao. He appeared in a number of films, many of which were directed by his father, such as Daana Veera Soora Karna (1977), Sri Madvirata Parvam (1979), Akbar Salim Anarkali (1979), and Sri Tirupati Venkateswara Kalyanam (1979). In the 1975 movie Annadammula Anubandham, which was a remake of Dharmendra’s Hindi movie Yaadon Ki Baaraat, he portrayed a brother to his real-life father, Rama Rao. Balakrishna played the role of his real-life brother Nandamuri Harikrishna’s son in the movie Dana Veera Sura Karna.

Balakrishna began his acting career as a child performer in the 1974 Tatamma Kala film, which was directed by N. T. Rama Rao. In the 1987 film Apoorva Sahodarulu, which was directed by K. Raghavendra Rao, he played Raghavendra Rao. For his role in the science fiction movie Aditya 369 directed by Singeetam Srinivasa Rao, he garnered a lot of praise and admiration in 1991. Later, he made cameos in films like Vijayendra Varma, Veerabhadra, Allari Pidugu, Maharathi, and Alludu (2000).

Alongside Boyapati Srinu’s Simha, in which he co-starred with Nayantara and Sneha Ullal, he made a comeback in 2010. He was chosen to represent the Hindupur district in the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly in 2014.

He played the dual parts of Aghori Baba and a farmer in the 2021 film Boyapati Srinu, Akhanda. In addition to running the Basavatarakam Indo-American Cancer Hospital and Research, he currently has roles in more than 100 Telugu films.

Among the many awards he has won are two Nandi Awards and two Filmfare Awards for Best Actor.
