On March 12, 1968, Neeraj Kabi was born in Jamshedpur, Bihar. He is a Pisces by birth.
His mother is Zarin Kabi, and his father is Tushar Kabi. His only blood relative is his brother, Partha Kabi. Together with his wife, the fashion designer Deepali Kosta, he has a daughter named Saptakshi Kabi.

He debuted in stage plays such as “Macbeth” (1998), “The Game of Love and Chance” (2001), “Lady with Lapdog” (2003), “Gates to India Song” (2013), and “The Father” when he first started acting professionally (2017). His first significant Bollywood role was in SheshaDrushti (The Last Vision), which received the National Award for Best Film in 1997. Other Hindi movies in which he has appeared include Talvar (2015), Hickey (2018), and Line of Descent (2019).
In 2014, he appeared in the Rajya Sabha TV programme “Samvidhaan: The Making of the Constitution of India (2014)” as Mahatma Gandhi. He appeared in numerous English-language movies, such as “Gandhi of the Month” (2014), “Viceroy’s House” (2016), “The Hungry” (2017), and “The Field” (2018). He has appeared in numerous Hindi internet series, including “Sacred Games” (2018), “The Final Call” (2019), “Taj Mahal,” and “Paatal Lok” (2020).
