Nikhil Siddhartha’s family originated in the city of Begumpet in Hyderabad, India. He received his education at Secunderabad, India at both the Hyderabad Public School and St. Patrick’s High School. Beginning his filmmaking career on the set of Hyderabad Nawaabs, he worked as a director’s assistant. He has previously featured in several films in supporting roles before directing Happy Days, the first Tollywood film to have an earlier release date in the West than in India. Nikhil is one of the four main characters in this film, directed by Sekhar Kammula (who won an Indian national award for his work).
There weren’t many successful low-budget movies in 2007, but “Happy Days” was one of them. His first film as a filmmaker was Ankit, Pallavi & Friends. His 2013 debut film, Swamy Ra Ra, was a success, and he has since been in the critically acclaimed flicks Yuvatha and Veedu Theda, the latter of which ran for 50 days in Andhra Pradesh. His next movie, Karthikeya (October 2014), has been praised by critics. Karthikeya 2 was recently his biggest commercial success to date.
