Nimisha studied at KJ Somaiya College in Mumbai after graduating from Mumbai’s Carmel Convent School.

Nimisha was born in Bombay to parents who were engineers and nurses, respectively, from Kerala’s Kollam district. The Punalur district of Kollam is where her mother’s family hails from. She holds a black belt in Taekwondo. She competed for Maharashtra in national Taekwondo competitions. She attained the degree of black belt in the eighth grade.

Nimisha Sajayan Career

In the film Thondimuthalum Driksakshiyum by Dileesh Pothan, Nimisha made her acting debut. She gave the movie’s main character, Sreeja, life. She then appeared in B. Ajithk Rajeev Ravi as the editor. She won the 49th Kerala State Film Award for Best Actress for the 2019 films Oru Kuprasidha Payyan, directed by Madhupal, and Chola, directed by Sanal Kumar Sasidharan.

Her work in Chola earned her fame. Several overseas film festivals hosted premieres. In the 2022 film The Great Indian Kitchen, she plays a crucial role. She played a newlywed who struggles to fulfil the expectations of her husband and his family over what a wife should be like.
