Pankaj Tripathi Early Life

Pankaj Tripathi was born on September 5, 1976, in Beland, a small town in the Gopalganj region of Bihar, India (he would be 46 years old in 2022). Tripathi’s father, who had little faith that his son would one day become a doctor, sent him to Patna. He joined the American Student V.P. and got politically active on campus while he was a student there. He spoke with a lot of charm and charisma. Having competed for his university in the High Jump and the 100-meter sprint, Pankaj was also a skilled athlete. After graduating from college, he enrolled in a programme for hotel management and spent two years working as a “chef” at the Hotel Maurya.

The parents of Pankaj are devoted Hindus. His father, Pandit Banaras Tiwari, is a farmer and a priest, and his mother, Hemwanti, is a housewife. He and his wife Mridula married on January 15, 2005; their daughter, Aashi Tripathi, was born on that day. He has three older brothers and two older sisters.

Pankaj Tripathi Career

The actor’s interest in the performing arts grew after he relocated to Patna. In an effort to gauge interest in a potential acting career, he started watching local theatre productions. He made an appearance in a stage version of Leela Nandlal by Bhism Sahni in 1995, which was directed by Vijay Kumar. He had a small part and was a neighbourhood thief. Both the general public and the media praised his performance. He continued to perform regularly in theatres for the following four years after that.

Pankaj left Patna after seven years and relocated to Delhi. He made the decision to pursue acting and enrolled at the National School of Drama, where he eventually received his diploma in 2004. Following that, he spent four months acting in Patna’s theatre community.

On October 16, 2004, Tripathi moved to Mumbai and made an appearance as an extra in the Abhishek Bachchan and Vijay Raaz movie Run. He had a number of bit roles in films and TV shows prior to his breakthrough performance in the TV drama “Gulal.”

Pankaj received a call to audition for Anurag Kashyap’s Gangs of Wasseypur as he finished filming Gulal. He was offered the role of Sultan after an eight-hour audition. After seeing his performance in the movie, a number of directors approached him and expressed a desire to collaborate with him once more. His performance in Fukrey, Manjhi: The Mountain Man, and Masaan was lauded by both critics and viewers.
