Prithviraj Sukumaran was born on October 16, 1982, in Trivandrum, Kerala, India, and he has worked as an actor, playback singer, and producer in the film industry since then. His fame stems primarily from his contributions to Malayalam film. He was multi-lingual, having appeared in films in other languages including Telugu, Tamil, and Hindi in addition to Malayalam. He has already made an appearance in over 90 films throughout his career.
August Cinema was Prithviraj’s production company that he co-founded in 2012 with cinematographer-turned-director Santosh Sivan and businessman Shaji Nadesan. Through August Cinema, which he co-founded, he has worked as a producer on several film projects. Arya, an actor, joined the studio’s staff in 2015. On his Facebook page in 2017 though, he announced his departure from the firm.
He’s the recipient of three acting awards: two from Kerala, one from Tamil Nadu, and one from the National Film Awards (as producer). On April 25, 2011, he tied the knot with BBC India correspondent Supriya Menon in a small ceremony in Palakkad. Alankrita Menon, their daughter, was born in 2014. Kochi, Kerala, is home of Prithviraj’s family.
