Ram Charan Biography

Ram Charan Education

During his early years, Ram Charan studied at several elite universities. His formal education began at Padma Seshadri Bala Bhavan in Chennai, continued at Lawrence School in Lovedale and The Hyderabad Public School in Begumpet, and culminated at St. Mary’s College, one of the finest educational institutions in Hyderabad. Given his background in the film industry, he thought he’d give acting a shot. After realising his potential, he moved to Mumbai, Maharashtra to study acting at Kishore Namit Kapoor’s institute.

Ram Charan Early Life

Coincident with his arrival in India was an audition for a film in which he would eventually star. Chirutha, an action film, came out in 2007. The film was heavily promoted because it included Chiranjeevi’s son on his acting debut. Allu Arjun, Pawan Kalyan, and Chiranjeevi, in addition to Ram, were heavily involved in promoting this film. The film’s budget was only 15 crores, yet it nevertheless managed to earn an astonishing 29 crores at the box office, making it a huge hit. Moreover, the picture played for over three months in a number of theatres across South India. Filmfare recognised his outstanding performance as Rams by presenting him with the Best Debut Male Award.

Ram Charan Career

The 2007 Puri Jagannadh film Chirutha was Ram Charan’s first role in a Telugu movie. The film’s critical and commercial success can be attributed in large part to Ram Charan’s turn in it. He won the Filmfare Best South Debutant Award, as well as the Nandi Special Jury Award, for the same film.

Chirutha may have announced Ram Charan’s arrival, but Magadheera cemented his place as a potential Hollywood heavyweight. This S.S.Rajamouli-helmed movie did incredibly well at the box office. In addition to his acting, dancing, and horsemanship skills, he showed them all off in this film. It was for his performance in this film that Ram Charan won the Filmfare Award for Best Actor in Telugu. Once again working with director Bommarillu Bhaskar, Ram Charan appeared in Orange after the success of Magadheera. In the film released in 2010, he portrayed an Indian national who had made Australia his permanent residence as a non-resident Indian (NRI). The movie was a success, and audiences seemed to really enjoy Ram Charan’s performance. Alongside Kajal Aggarwal and Amala Paul, Ram Charan had two separate roles in the 2013 action drama film Naayak.

Ram Charan made his Bollywood debut in the much-anticipated adaptation of Amitabh Bachchan’s 1973 classic Zanjeer. Even though Priyanka Chopra was a major part of the picture, it was blasted by critics and failed to do well at the box office. Even a Telugu adaptation, dubbed Thoofan, failed miserably in theatres. The actor’s 2014 performance in Vamshi Paidipally’s Yevadu more than made up for his previous failures at the box office. Amy Jackson, Allu Arjun, and Kajal Aggarwal also acted in the film, which received mixed reviews but was a commercial success.

His other film from that year, Govindudu Andarivadele, too did well at the box office in its first weekend, grossing over 40 crores INR. The sole movie Ram Charan starred in during 2015 was Sreenu Vaitla’s Bruce Lee: The Fighter. Box office receipts and critical reception were about par for the film, which also starred Rakul Preet Singh, Kirti Kharbanda, and Arun Vijay. His 2016 filmography includes Surender Reddy’s Dhruva, among others. His previous films are Rangasthalam (2018), Vinaya Vidheya Rama (2019), and Syeraa Narasimha Reddy (2019). Other than RRR and RC-15, he has the upcoming movies Vinaya Vidheya Rama (2019) and Acharya  (2022).
