Ramesh Aravind was born on September 10, 1964, in Kumbakonam, Tamil Nadu, to housewife G. Saroja and accountant and businessman P.A. Govindachari. His father died in November 2016. Ramesh Aravind is an Indian actor, TV host, and director who mostly works in the Kannada and Tamil film industries. After that, he acted in movies made in Telugu, Malayalam, and Bollywood. He first appeared in the 1986 Kannada film Sundara Swapnagalu as Prem and in the Tamil film Manathil Uruthi Vendum as Manathil. Both were directed by K. Balachander.

He used to host a Kannada-language show before he was in the Kannada movie Mouna Geethe. Before the movie came out, the director K. Balachander asked Aravind to play Kamal Haasan in a Kannada version of Sollathaan Ninaikkiren made in Tamil. He was chosen for the Kannada movie Sundara Swapnagalu after a short audition in 1986, but the movie didn’t come out until after Mouna Geethe. Then, in the movie Punnagai Mannan, he played the ex-boyfriend of Revathi.

Then, in 1987, he played the lead role in his first movie, Manathil Uruthi Vendum. His performance in the movie got good reviews. Later, he got his start in Telugu movies through the movie Rudraveena, which was directed by Balachander. Then, in 1990, he played a student union leader in the film Keladi Kanmani, which was directed by Vasanth. In 1994, he was in the Tamil movie Duet, which was well-liked by critics. In 1995, he was in the movie Sathi Leelavathi with Kamal Haasan. The movie was directed by Balu Mahendra.

Ramesh was found by the famous K. Balachander, who used his sharp eyes to introduce him to the world of movies through the role he played in Sundara Swapnagalu.
