The 14th of December, 1984, saw the arrival of Rana Daggubati into the world in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. His alma mater was The Hyderabad Public School, located in the Begumpet section of Hyderabad.

After completing high school, he enrolled in a bachelor’s program in commerce but dropped out after just two months. He studied industrial photography at the Chennai Film School and graduated with a degree.

In 2005, he established Spirit Media to fill a need for a company to handle visual effects and animation. As a result, he has worked on over seventy movies as a visual effects coordinator. After the release of his debut film, Leader, in 2010, he became a major celebrity in Telugu cinema. He then debuted in Bollywood with the movie Dum Maaro Dum.

Following his debut performance as the film’s primary antagonist in Baahubali: The Beginning in 2015, he went on to star in a number of Telugu and Hindi films.
